Java? yes Java!
The Java™ platform has been critical for us here at IBM for almost two decades and continues to be as we move deeper into the era of cloud, mobile, and cognitive computing, all of which are key themes in this year’s JavaOne conference happening this week today through Thursday!
IBM embraced the Java programming language beginning 20 years ago. As Java grew into a large-scale enterprise platform, IBM was in lock-step, building its extensive middleware suite on this innovative and versatile technology to support not only a wide array of customers in disparate industries, but also powering its own development.
Java is critical to IBM, even moreso as we find ourselves at the beginning of a new era with cloud, mobile, and cognitive computing leading the way.
It’s no surprise, then, that IBM is again a Diamond sponsor at this year’s JavaOne conference, supporting and endorsing the platform that continues to shape its and others’ innovation in the enterprise.
Here’s an overview of some of IBM’s activities during JavaOne 2015.
