Sandy, I think you are on to something for social business with Transmedia. It is emerging in Hollywood and will get more mainstream over time. I think it would be interesting to do some research and look at a few industries and their current dominant marketing strategies for driving consideration and purchase. Then see how some multi-platform media/story telling concepts are best related or extended to those strategies.
BTW, I recently started reading Get Bold and think it is an excellent guide to understanding and getting into social business!

I love the idea of the research! And thanks for the compliment on the book!
Sandy, “Transmedia” is a new word for me, and I like it! We often talk about a multi-channel marketing approach, and I see these as related terms. I agree about your explanation of the “death of digital”, and I do believe we are already there! Thanks again for the great Social Business chat last night at IBM!

Thanks Jan! The pleasure is all mine! It was a pleasure to meet you and I cannot wait for our followup! Sandy
Hi Sandy,
Have you seen something called an experience map? http://adaptivepath.com/ideas/the-anatomy-of-an-experience-map
It’s an interesting way to outline the cross-channel touchpoints in terms of the user experience as people/customers go through a ‘journey’ and use different technologies.
Very intersting!!!! Thank you for sharing. This is cool!
Hi Sandy, thanks for introducing me to the term, “Transmedia”. I am attempting to develop a strategy to employ it in my business.
I am a singer/songwriter/video-producer who is working to merge my life long passion for making music that makes a difference with my love affair with entrepreneurism.
I found your presentation to be helpful and am looking forward to learning more.
It’s good to (virtually) meet you, even if digital is dead!
